winter blast

Texas finally got some winter weather. We got cold and icey weather but other states got it worse than us. So many people are injured have died or have no power. All over the U.S. there are many people powerless. In Oklahoma there was a high school that had so much ice and snow on the top that it caved in and so they can’t go to, to school today. Many people have had their roofs cave in also. This weather was different for us here in Texas we had so many people getting in accidents and the roads were so bad that there was accidents everywere. This weather was different and dangerous to all of us. Tell me what you thought of this weather.

President Bush’s speech

I think President Bush is a little crazy because sending more troops to Iraq is not the best thing to do right now. We’ve had so many people, young men, die over in Iraq guys that are not even 25 are dieing because Bush wants them to go over and fight. Sending more troops over there is going to cause more problems more than what we need. I don’t like Bush’s thinking on this concern. Tell me what you think about this topic.

Foreign Exchange Students

If I could be a foreign exchange student I would go to France. France is a whole different place than here and they live differently. France is so beautiful and has so much history. I could learn so much by the way they live and all the history they have their. I’ve always wanted to go to France and if I got the chance to go I would.

Saddam’s cameraman arrested

When Saddam was walking to the gallows his cameramanwas videoing him until he died. He downloaded the whole thing on his phone. All the crude remarks and until he died and put it on the Internet. One of the guys that watched this happen said that two government officials recording it on their mobile phone cameras and didn’t get in trouble. I’m glad he’s dead but I think it’s just going to cause more problems with us and Iraq. It seems that either way if he’s dead or alive we’re still going to have pretty much the same problems with Iraq no matter what we do with the bad guys.

Should cell phones be allowed in school?

I think we should be allowed in school. When something comes up and we need to call our parents we have to use the office phone well if we could use our cell phones no body would have to wait and call thier parents if we could use our cell phones. I just think every thing at school would be better if we could use our cell phones and not get in trouble for using it. Tell me what you think about this and if we should be able or not to use our cell phones in school.

Christmas Tradition

Christmas is my favorite time of year not because of the presents but being with my family. I have two well three traditions that I have for Christmas. On Christmas Eve we always go to my grandma’s house for Christmas with the family. It’s my moms side of the family. So all five children (my aunts and uncle) and their kids and their kids. There’s about 50 or more that come. We eat and then we all sit in the living room and we have a program type thing that we do. We start from the youngest and they do something that they did during the year than we just keep going up in order. When we get to the oldest of the five we sing the “12 Days of Christmas.” Then it gets really interesting all the older guys teenage and up sing “We Three Kings” sometimes you never know when it will end its so much fun. Then things quiet down a little and my grandpa reads the Christmas Story and we all bow our heads and he prays. Then we get in our gifts but you know I could do without the presents just doing our program would be good enough for me. Those memories are the best type of gift because its with you all the time. We normally do our Christmas at our house that morning because we normally leave for Kansas that night or next morning. We go up their to see my dads side of the family we stay there for a couple of days we have our Christmas and spend time with everyone we don’t have a program but all us cousins always go outside and play hide and go seek in the dark and kick ball its a lot of fun. Then we go home. Christmas is so much fun because you get to be with your family. Thats my tradition that I do at Christmas.

War in Iraq

My current event is important to everyone but mostly to us kids,teenagers,and little babies as well. As we all know there is a war going on in Iraq. A lot of people in the news are saying that it could turn out to be a civil war again. If it happens to be a civil war the kids graduating and other young people might have to go and fight over there, which I still have no idea why we are over there. I think we are just making a bigger mess people that live their are getting killed and we are getting killed as well. The people who write stories and do the news say that using the word civil war makes the public pay more attention to whats going on over seas. The war in Iraq affects Kaufman because the war gets more in tense every day and they are always trying to get strong men and women to go over and fight and there are a lot of strong students that are going to graduate and so thats how the war in Iraq affects us.

Christmas is not far away!!!!
